Amunni Boutique in St. Clair is holding the Shine the Spotlight to Fight MS fundraising event to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Michigan Chapter and work toward finding a cure.
“We grew out of our Broadway location so quickly and have been looking to expand for some time,” Steve Neiman says. “We really love the community and when the offer from the Inn came up — it was a beautiful view, great people, room for parking, and indoor and outdoor seating — it was a no-brainer for us.”
“I love being able to help people with their skin, educating and empowering them to have confidence and always go for the best results,” says Maddison Riehl, the owner of Lille Piece of Heaven in St. Clair.
“This year’s Icy Bazar will be the biggest one yet. We have 32 separate ice sculptures sponsored by different businesses in St. Clair County,” says Bryan Ulatwoski, president of the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce.
There is no shortage of family-friendly events happening in St. Clair County this year.
“We don’t try to mimic or match other stores; our store is more personal,” says Laura Lyon, owner of The Papaya Branch Boutique. After months away, the women’s apparel boutique returns with a grand opening event on Saturday, Nov. 13, with planned giveaways for the first 100 customers.
Built in 1914, this historical building in downtown Richmond was home to numerous businesses before local entrepreneurs Dianna and Michael Maniaci purchased it and began renovations.
What started out as a weekend event has since evolved into a whole month’s worth of events due to its enduring popularity, says Bryan Ulatowksi, president of the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce.
“You can’t put a price on feeling good,” says shop owner Monique Lictawa. “Showing that support, love, and encouragement or kindness means a lot to the person getting that message.”
Amy Amiels started out wanting to find a storefront for her accounting business. After having no luck, that business idea grew into something much bigger when she and her partners launched the co-working space Dock 421 in Algonac.
