At the end of her rope after a lifetime of abuse, multiple attempts at therapy, and a recent death in the family, one woman found the help she needed through the Dialectical Behavior Therapy program at St. Clair County Community Mental Health, which she says saved her life.
For first-time workers, looking for employment can prove to be a difficult task, but Michigan Works! offers several programs helping youth in foster care and young professionals discover new careers and obtain job training.
“I’m big about opportunities for everybody in the community,” Delor says. “People have different outdoor activities that they like, so once we know what those interests are, we can develop our parks around what our constituents and users want, creating a more diverse park.”
